Application for Ph.D. Programme: IICT-PhD – May 2011

IICT invites applications from highly talented and research oriented candidates interested in pursuing PhD Program at IICT for the Academic Session starting in August 2011.

Eligibility:

Candidate must fulfil the following eligibility criteria.

i) First class M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Chemical, Biological sciences AND
ii) Qualified in CSIR/UGC-NET Examination with a valid Rank OR candidate with a valid DST Inspire fellowship in the above disciplines
Please note that the candidates who have passed NET examination under Lectureship category only are NOT eligible.

Selection:

Selection for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be on the basis of the interview(s) of short listed candidates at IICT. Presently there are 17 Vacancies in Chemical Sciences and 3 Vacancies in Biological Sciences.

Fellowship:

Candidates selected for the PhD Program at IICT shall draw their fellowship and other allowances, contingency etc., as per their scheme.

Application procedure:

1. Candidates who fulfil the above eligibility criteria may apply in the prescribed format with this notification.
2. A scanned copy of the filled-in Application form may be mailed to phdatiict@gmail.com
Alternatively a hard copy of the application can also be submitted in the AcSIR Office at IICT during 12.00 Noon to 1.00 PM on all working days from May 30, 2011 till the last day of receipt of applications.
3. In addition, the candidates must also furnish relevant information in the enclosed Excel, sheet and mail it to phdatiict@gmail.com

Last date of receipt of complete application (including Excel Sheet) of application is June 10, 2011. The interview(s) for selection of PhD are likely to be conducted on June 28, 29, 2011 at IICT. Please note that as per the applicable norms no TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
