ADMISSION NOTICE 2012-2013
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for entrance examintion in the following for teh Academic year 2012-2013:
Name of the Programme:
MSc in Physical Sciences (Physics), Chemical Science (Chemistry), Microbiology, Geography and Natural Resources Management, Economics, Psychology (lateral entry), Ethno Botany and Social Medicine Studies.
M.Phil/ Ph.D in International Relations Politics, Sociology, Peace and Conflict studies and Management, Microbiology, Physical Sciences (Physics), Chemical Science (Chemistry), Economics, Geography, and Natural Resources Management, Mass Communication.
Entrance Test centers in India are located in almost all the states of India.
In Neighboring countries Entrance Examination Centres are located in (1) colombo (2) dhaka (3) Kathmandu (4) THIMPHU (5) yANGON AND (6)Yunan (China)
The Entrance Test will be held on 12th and 13th May 2012 in all the designated centres in the country and neighboring countries. First merit List of successful candidates will be published on 1st June 2012. Resigration for the admission will start on 1st June 2012 and classes will commence on 10th July, 2012.
Detailed information regarding admission procedure and eligibility etc. is given in the Prospectus-cum-Application form 2012-2013 whcih can be obtained from the Sikkim University Management Block located at Tadong from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm till 25th April, 2012 against cash payment of Rs.250/- it can also be obtained by post by paying D for Rs.275/- in favour of Sikkim University. applicants can aslo downloaded from Sikkim University website http://www.sikkimuniversity.in/
The examination fee for General candidates for each subject is Rs.300/- and for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ differently Abled (DA)candidates is Rs.150/- which should be dran as DD in favour of Sikkim University payable at Gangtok.
