Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post on purely time bound research project undertaken at the School of Biotechnology, NIT Calicut.

Salary: 16,000 p.m.;

Age limit: Not more than 28 years

Duration: All appointments on contract basis shall be initially for a period of one year subject to extension up to a maximum of three years depending upon the performance.

Qualification: Post-graduate degree in Life Science/Biochemistry/Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks. Candidate must have passed NET examination conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICMR.

Desired qualifications: Hands on experience in animal/neuronal cell culture, western blot and HPLC.

Date of test/interview: 19-04-2012; Thursday 09:30 am [written test, followed by the interview].

Only short-listed candidates (after initial screening) are requested to appear before the Selection Committee for written test & interview on 19th April, 2012 at 9.30 am in the School of Biotechnology, NITC.

No., (2) Date of birth and (3) Educational qualifications and experience (if any) together with the Xerox copies of certificates/ testimonials (attested copies). You are also requested to bring with you the following documents: 1. Original Certificates(s), Marksheet(s) (Degree/Diploma, etc.) of the educational qualifications, certificate in support of the date of birth and NET examination etc. mentioned by you in your application, 2. Original Experience Certificates, Testimonials etc, 3. In case you are employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization, you should bring with you a No Objection Certificate from your present employer. Otherwise, you will have to give a declaration that at present you are un-employed.

Notice: No TA/DA is admissible for attending the test/interview. The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding and no communication in this regard will be entertained. The incumbent selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR/NITC or continuation of his/her services in any other project. No benefit of provident fund, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. will be considered.
