ANNOUNCEMENT NO: ICSR/CA/33/2013

Applications are invited for temporary post of SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW for the CSIR project on “Studies on Muller cells potential to regenerate photoreceptor by photoreceptor-specific transcription factor” in the Department of Biotechnology.

DURATION: Initially for a period of one year and likely to be extendable for a further period

QUALIFICATION: M.Sc/B.E/B.Tech with 02 years of Research Experience/M.E/M.Tech Equivalent Degree with valid GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR.

FELLOWSHIP: Rs.14,000/-pm (subjected to revision to Rs.18,000/-p.m.) Candidates will be eligible for House Rent Allowance as per Institute norms, subject to eligibility.

Candidates should not be a recipient of Research Fellowship (i.e. HTRA), if so give details of the date(s) and amount of award, duration, name of the concerned Scheme / Principal Investigator / Institution & supporting agency.

Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates

The Co-ordinator has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement.

Candidates already working in any project at IIT, Madras should send their application through the Co-ordinator of the project.
