Avidadham is an International conference organized by the Department of Biotechnology, Anna University, Chennai. Avidadham, as the literal meaning goes, is an ancient word in Tamil language that is synonymous with the process of drug making. The genesis of Avidadham took place in the year 2013 when the Post graduate students of the Department came forward to lay the foundation of a conference that was to shed light on research taking place in various disciplines, from various continents to discuss innovative methods and applications in Biotechnology and Biopharmaceutical Technology year after year. Since then it has set to encompass the Department of Food Technology from the next edition. Avidadham'15, in its third series, aims to bring the students at par with the eminent discoveries and inventions relating to the field of medicine that encompasses both the synthetic and the natural way to relieve the maladies affecting the world. It will primarily focus on enumerating the contributions of Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology and Food Technology in the field of Diagnostics and Therapeutics. The main goal of Avidadham is to provide not only a challenging forum for all the participants but also to serve as a wonderful platform for them to interact with reputed researchers from all over the world and benefit from the sessions. This conference will not only bring them up to the current trends in the field of medical diagnostics and therapeutics but also enable them to launch their career as a researcher. Our aim, to facilitate the nurturing of the intellectual minds towards a scientific approach of discovery and invention; on the basis of a strong foundation of updated knowledge along with their zeal to pursue their dreams, will usher in a new generation of researchers and scientists.
The target audience for the conference consists of protein chemists, neurologists, scientists, academicians, undergraduate and post-graduate bio-technology students, post-docs and faculty, industrialists and those who intend to get exposure on the modernistic trends and topics in these multifarious fields.
