Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR), Lucknow offers Ph.D. programme in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Applications are invited from the citizens of India with a background in Biological Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Biochemistry/Physics/Computer Sciences/Cognitive or Neural Sciencesfor the semester commencing from August 2015.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Sc. or equivalent degree.

• The candidate MUSThave qualified any ONE of the following exams:

CSIR-UGC NET for JRF or DBT-JRF or ICMR-JRF or INSPIRE Fellowship for Ph.D.

Research at CBMR:

Research at Centre of Biomedical Research covers a wide range of interdisciplinary research areas such as Chemical Biology, Drug Development, Synthesis of Bioactive Molecules, Metabolomics, Magnetic Resonance (solid state and solution state), Structural Biology, MRI in Cognitive or Neural Sciences,etc.

Facilities at CBMR:

CBMR offers state of the art research laboratories and infrastructure facilities to perform high quality research. Currently, we have three NMR Spectrometers (400/600/800 MHz), 3T MRI Scanner, very well equipped analytical and molecular biology labs.

A core component of a graduate student life at CBMR is the interdisciplinary nature of research and the freedom to learn and operate instruments such as NMR spectrometer, GC-MS, LC-MS etc. This gives our students an advantage in terms of their understanding of key techniques used to resolve research problems.

For students selected into a PhD programme, we also have a comfortable housing as well as a good sports facility at SGPGIMS Campus.
