National Workshop on Relevance of Microscopy in Microbial Characterization 

August 11 to 14, 2015

Amity University Uttar Pradesh is organizing a four-day workshop on “Relevance of Microscopy in Microbial Characterization” in association with ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms (NBAIM). The workshop will provide a forum to discuss latest developments in Microscopy with its specific relevance to characterization of microorganisms. The goal of the workshop is to come out with an effective strategy for improving Microscopic skills in order to help us to enhance our understanding of microbes and their various beneficial characteristics. 

Structure of the Workshop: The proposed workshop aims to provide the hands-on training on the recent advances in microscopy with special emphasis on microbial aspects and will cover the following broad topics of current scenario: 

 Structure and imaging of microorganisms 
 Live cell imaging 
 Multidisciplinary approaches phase contrast and immune-fluorescence microscopy for biological sciences 
 Advances in confocal and electron microscopy 

Eligible Applicants: Research scholars, faculty members and scientists with minimum qualification of M.Sc or M.Tech in the field of Microbiology/Biotechnology/Plant Pathology/ Life Sciences
