Ph.D. studentship in Human Genomics - 2 positions
Qualifications:
1) M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences or Bioinformatics with experience in molecular biology techniques or an understanding of building, using bioinformatics tools, databases and basis of the underlying algorithms.
2) Candidates must have secured JRF funding from CSIR-UGC, DBT, ICMR and DST-INSPIRE
Selected JRFs will be involved in ongoing collaborative research projects between IOB and other collaborating institutes. They will be trained in cutting edge technologies including wet lab training for confirmation of NGS single nucleotide variants and splice mutation at the RNA level. In selected cases to participate in functional confirmation. Training will also be given on interpreting and curating NGS. Only candidates who can relocate to Bangalore (ITPL) need to apply.
