Walk-in-Interview The Head, Division of Vegetable Science, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the posts of different external funded research projects mentioned below purely on contractual/temporary basis.
1. Dr. Anil Khar Project Title: “DUS testing of varieties under registration & maintenance of reference varieties of onion & garlic”
Senior Research Fellow One
Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA (Likely to be revised)
Essential: M.Sc. in Veg. Science/Hort./ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Plant Sciences with research work related to vegetable breeding. NET qualified.
Desirable: Knowledge of morphological characterization in vegetable crops.
2. Dr. Partha Saha Project Title: “Marker assisted Pyramiding of genes for resistance to diseases in Indian Cauliflower”.
Junior Research Fellow One
Rs. 12,000/- + 30% HRA (Likely to be revised)
Essential: M.Sc. in Veg. Science/Hort./ Agriculture/ Plant Breeding/ Plant Pathology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Plant Sciences with research work related to breeding/Molecular breeding in vegetable crops. NET qualified.
Desirable: Knowledge of molecular marker development and marker assisted breeding.
3. Dr. T. K. Behera Project Title: “Formulation and validation of DUS testing Guidelines for Amranthus, Palak and Ridge gourd”.
Field helper One Rs. 8000/- per month Essential: Class VIII passed with practical experience on field preparation, layout, preparing and tying of labels, harvesting, seed extraction etc. in vegetable crops.
4. Dr. T. K. Behera Project Title: “CRP on Agrobiodiversity (Bottle gourd)”.
Field helper One Rs. 8000/- per month
5. Dr. A. K. Sureja Project Title: “Development of DUS test guidelines for Radish and Carrot”
Field helper One
Rs. 8000/- per month Age: Maximum 35 years for all the positions.
Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman/women as per Govt. Rules. The above positions are purely temporary and will be made for a period of one year or till termination of the projects whichever is less. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this Institute as the positions are co-terminus with respective Project
4 Eligible candidates may appear for interview on Friday, the 28th August, 2015 at 10.00 A.M. along with application form.
Venue: Head’s Chamber, Division of Vegetable Science, IARI, New Delhi-110 012.
Bring original and attested copies of all the certificates along with detailed bio-data and one recent passport size colour photograph. No TA/DA will be paid. The eligible candidates should bring an application on plain paper addressed to Head, Division of Vegetable Science, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi-110 012 along with complete bio-data giving full particulars, i.e. proof of age, proof of reservation, qualifications, examinations passed, marks obtained in each examination, research experience in project/scheme, publications (only published, with a set of Photostat copy), NOC from the present employer etc. The candidate should submit one set of attested copies of marks sheets/transcripts. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview
