WALK-IN INTERVIEW
The Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) intend to recruit following positions for various externally funded projects purely on contractual basis. Details of the positions are given below:
1 Indo-Australian collaborative project entitled "Biotic stress management in wheat Triple rust" Co-PI: Dr.M.Sivasamy
Duration of the Project: 5 years starting 2014-15
Age limit: Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and three years for OBC candidates)
Essential qualification: Masters degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding or relevant subjects with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelors degree (or) Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic sciences with 3 years of Bachelors degree and two years Masters degree should have NET (or) JRF's with two years of work experiences in DST/DBT/ICAR sponsored projects on plant sciences as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/Z.09/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014
Desirable: Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of crop improvement for biotic stress with Marker assisted selection and working knowledge of computer with better communication skills.
Emoluments: Rs.25,000+ 10% HRA fixed shall be awarded per month.

2. Multi-crop net work project- ICAR-CRP Agro-biodiversity –component II (Detailed evaluation- Wheat) Co-PI: Dr.M.Sivasamy
Duration of the Project: 3 years starting 2014-15
Age limit: Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST and women and three years for OBC candidates)
Essential qualification: Bachelors degree in Agriculture (or) Bachelors degree in Botany including relevant subjects with two years working experiences in the area of agriculture or plant sciences
Desirable: Minimum 2 years of experience in the field Agriculture sciences and working knowledge of computer.
Emoluments: Rs.15,000 fixed shall be awarded per month.
Project Assistant 1 post
The certificate verification and interview process of eligible candidates for the above posts will be held on 15/10/2015 at 9.30AM onwards at IARI, Regional Station, Wellington – 643 231. Interested candidates satisfying the essential qualifications may come for the interview with a copy of the bio-data, original and attested copies of all certificates, recent copy of passport size photograph, etc.,. The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year but may be extended on year to year basis based on performance of the candidates. The candidates shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute, as the posts are co-terminus with the respective projects.
No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
