Two Research Associates and one Project Assistant positions are available in DBT sponsored project on "Network Programme on understanding the regulatory dynamics of Tubercular granulomas through genomic and proteomic analyses: Implications for latency and re-activation"

Qualifications for Research Associates:

Education: PhD. in Immunology and related subject with experience in cellular and molecular biology or Immunology

Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, Mutagenesis, Mammalian cell culture, Animal handling, Mycobacterium culture and infection and experience in chromatin Immune-precipitation, Coimmuno- precipitation and different blotting techniques plus two years' experience after PhD.

Fellowship: According to DBT/DST rules

Qualifications for Project Assistant:

Education: BSc

Desirable: Proficiency in word, power point, Excel and accounting.

Fellowship: According to DBT/DST rules

Tenure: The position is purely temporary, renewable after one year and will continue until November 2017 (the end of project) based on satisfactory performance.

Two (2) Senior Research Fellow and One (1) Research Associate positions are available in DBT sponsored project entitled "Blocking invasion and sustenance processes in Malaria: Targeting essential proteins of P. falciparum through design of novel peptide inhibitors".
This project is under Dr. Anand Ranganathan, Associate Professor, SCMM, JNU.

Qualifications for Senior Research Fellow (SRF):

Education: M.Sc in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology or other related subjects and with 2 years hands-on experience in cellular and molecular biology.

Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, protein purification, protein-protein interaction technologies, mammalian cell culture, parasite culture and infection.

Qualifications for Research Associates (RA):

Education: PhD. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology or other related subjects with experience in cellular and molecular biology. Proven track record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and 1-2 years' experience after PhD is essential.

Desirable: Proficiency in Gene cloning, protein purification, protein-protein interaction technologies, mammalian cell culture, parasite culture and infection. Experience in different microscopy platforms (fluorescent, confocal), FACs, Co-immunoprecipitation and different blotting techniques are also desirable but not essential.

Fellowship Emoluments: According to new DBT/DST rules.
                                         SRF – Rs. 28,000/- plus 30% HRA
                                         RA – Rs. 40,000/- plus 30% HRA

Tenure: These positions are purely temporary, renewable after one year and will continue until the end of project (June 2018) based on satisfactory performance.
