Applications are invited for temporary position of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, for the “RFIR” project on “Institute Research and Development Mid Career level Award” in the Department of BIOTECHNOLOGY.
DURATION : One year initially
QUALIFICATION: Ph.D in BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING/BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES with Research experience in the area of molecular biology and genetics will be preferred.
DESIRABLE: Expertise in mammalian cell culture system, development and maintenance of stable cell lines, cloning and expression studies.
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.36,000/- pm + HRA. NOTE: Candidates will be eligible for House Rent Allowance as per Institute norms, subject to eligibility. Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates. The Co-ordinator has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement. Application on plain paper giving name, date of birth, age, address, full details of educational qualifications (stating the marks, rank, year of passing), community and experience etc., along with copies of certificates and complete list of publications, reprints of atleast two publications and two reference letters (one from PhD Supervisor) and a covering letter, should reach the following address on or before 26.10.2015.
Candidates already working in any project at IIT, Madras should send their application through the Co-ordinator of the project.
