Walk-in-interview will be held in the Division Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110012 to recruit outstanding personnel for the following posts to work in Consortium Research Project (CRP) on Genomics The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview on 30 Oct 2015 at 09:30am.

1.Whole Genome Sequencing of paddy blast Pathogen

2.Whole Genome Sequencing of Karnal Bunt Pathogen

Rs 25000/-plus 30% HRA

Essential (Minimum qualifications):

MSc (Ag)/MSc in Plant Pathology or Biotechnology with experience in Plant Pathology or Bioinformatics with research experience in WGS First Division or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/OGPA 2 Pathology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi- 12 NET qualification

Desirable:

Experience on

1. Hands on experience in Plant pathological AND Molecular Biological AND Bacteriological tools

2. Proficiency in bioinformatics and molecular sequence data analysis

Terms & Conditions

(i) The age should be maximum 35 years for SRF (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women & 3 years for OBC).

(ii) Applicants with minimum eligibility alone need to send application/appear for interview

(iii) The applicant must submit attested copies of certificates along with application and a brief of research work done vis-à-vis publications in peer reviewed journals during post graduation & present employment and two passport size photographs. Applicant must bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.

(iv) All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before schedule time on the date of interview for necessaries formalities

(v) No objection certificate from the employer/ university, in case he/ she is in employment elsewhere.

(vi) The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this Institute as the fellowship/post is purely temporary and co terminus with respective Project/Schemes

(vii) The initial appointment is for one year and the continuation of the SRF will depend upon the progress reviewed every six months by the Principal investigator.

(viii) No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. Interview will be held on 30 Oct 2015

(ix) Any other clarifications can be had on the date of interview

(x) The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.

(xi) Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate

(xii) Place of posting is in Division of Plant Pathology, IARI, New Delhi -12. But expected to travel to Lucknow for various project related work.
