Subject: Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a DBT funded project
Online applications are invited for the appointment of 'Junior Research Fellow' in the DBT sponsored research project entitled “Improvement of end use quality of 1BL/1RS translocation containing wheat varieties by removing of Sec-1 loci and retaining Glu-B3 using marker assisted back cross breeding (MABB).” under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Kumar, Associate Professor, Akal College of Agriculture, Eternal University Baru Sahib for a period of five years.
Essential Qualifications: Candidates having M.Sc. (NET Qualified) degree (with minimum 65% marks) in Life sciences/Genetics/Plant breeding/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular biology or any other related field are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Wide hybridization, Plant Molecular Biology and Cytogenetics in wheat.
Age: Candidate should not be more than 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- + 10 % HRA for the first two years and Rs. 28,000/- + 10% HRA for the subsequent years.
The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will be eligible for admission to Ph.D. Biotechnology in the Eternal University as per the university rules and UGC guidelines.
