Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up of the following posts in the Central Silk Board:

1, (a)  Name of the Post :  Scientist-B

(b)   Number of posts:  (i) Specialization: INSECT PATHOLOGY / IMMUNOLOGY

1(One) Post   – Reserved for Scheduled Castes

1(One) Post   – Reserved for Scheduled Tribes   (See Note 1 below)

ii) Specialization: ENTOMOLOGY

1(One) Post   – Reserved for Persons with Disabilities

(PWD) – Visually Handicapped. (See Note 2 below)

(c)   Pay Band:  PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of  Rs.5400/-

(d)   Age:  Not exceeding 35 Years (Relaxable for SC/ST/ /PWD   candidates as per Rules)

(e)  Qualification:  ESSENTIAL: Master’s  degree in Science or Master’s degree in  Agricultural Sciences.

Note:  1) Candidates  belonging communities other than Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) need not apply for Insect Pathology / Immunology specialization.  Applications, if any, received will be summarily rejected.

2) Candidates belonging to other categories of disability may also apply.  In case candidates belonging to the notified category are not available, the post(s)  will be filled by exchange from other categories of PWD.
