A hands on short-term training course for Medical teachers, Clinical Lab Practitioners and Research & Post Graduate students on “Molecular techniques as applied for infectious disease research” will be held during February 22-27, 2016 at Department of Biochemistry & JB Tropical Disease Research Centre. Immunodiagnostic, immunomodulatory & cellular assays, Real-Time PCR, Molecular Cloning, Expression and Purification of filarial recombinant proteins, 2D-Gel Electrophoresis, SDS¬ PAGE, Western Blotting, chromatography technique by standard and FPLC methods and other basic techniques will be covered. There will also be talks on research related to the diagnostic, vaccine & drug development studies in infectious diseases by eminent experts during the training course.
