WALK IN INTERVIEW
Walk-in-interview for the selection of Senior Research Fellow (One post) on
contractual basis under the ICAR funded project entitled “Development of diagnostic to
viruses of banana under CRP on vaccines and diagnostics” and Senior Research Fellow (one
post) on contractual basis under the Ministry of Food Processing Industry sponsored project
entitled “Developing Post Harvest Mechanization Package for Banana Central Core” to be
held on 06.01.2016 (Wednesday) at 11.00 AM at our Centre. The posts are purely
temporary and co-terminus with the project. Eligible candidates may attend the Walk-inInterview
at the above address.
1. Name of the Project : ICAR funded project entitled “Development of
diagnostic to viruses of banana under CRP on

Name of the Post : Senior Research Fellow
Number of Post : One
Emoluments : Rs.25,000.00 + 20% HRA per month
(as per ICAR guidelines)
Essential Qualification: First class in
Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology (Ag.) / Microbiology /
Applied Microbiology / Biotechnology
Or
Master Degree in Microbiology (Ag.) / Applied Microbiology
/ Plant Pathology / Biotechnology / Integrated degrees like
B.Tech. and M.Tech (5 years)
Or
Graduates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree who have acquired
professional Master’s degree (3 years) like M.Sc. (Agri.) in
Microbiology / Applied Microbiology / Plant Pathology)
Or
Candidates having Master’s degree in Basic Sciences
(Microbiology / Applied Microbiology / Plant Pathology /
Biotechnology) and have qualified NET with 2 years of
research experience
Or
As regards, NET examination, any national level examination
conducted by the Central Government Departments / agencies for
admission to Ph.D. programme are considered as NET.
The

CSIR – UGC National Eligibility Test
MHRD – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering admission
DBT – Biotechnology Eligibility Test & Test conducted in
Bio-informatics by Bio-informatics National Consortium
DAE – JEST & JBEEBILS, NBHM
ICMR – JRF Entrance Examination
ICAR – Test conducted by ICAR for admission to Ph.D.
programme

2. Name of the Project : Ministry of Food Processing Industry sponsored
project entitled “Developing Post Harvest
Mechanization Package for Banana Central Core”.
Duration of the Project: up to March 2016, subject to extension up to June 2016.

Fellowship : Rs.16,000.00 + HRA @20% per month
Essential Qualification: First class in
M.Sc. (Horticulture / Agriculture) with specialization in
Post-Harvest Technology) / M.Sc. or M.Tech in Food
Science & Technology / Food Nutrition or in the
relevant field of specialization.
Desirable : At least 1-2 years of working experience in the
relevant field of specialization in reputed organization
/ institute and working knowledge in computer and
handling statistical software.
