WALK-IN-INTERVIEW Eligible candidates are invited for Walk in Interview on 06.02.2016 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM at ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora-263601 (Uttarakhand) for the purely temporary and time bound positions of Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow and Skilled Help on contractual basis under the following projects. The qualifications and other details are as under –
1. ICAR funded “Network project on Organic Farming”.
Senior Research Fellow 01
The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview ` 25,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year ` 28,000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year
The candidate must have passed M.Sc.(Ag)/ M.Sc. in Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Soil Microbiology/ Agroforestry/ Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/ Entomology/ Pathology with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014
i) Experience on analysis of soil, manure and plant with modern instruments.
ii) Management of field crops in organic condition
iii) Sound knowledge on Microsoft office
2. ICAR Consortia Research Platform on ‘Molecular Breeding’ on Maize.
Senior Research Fellow 01
The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview ` 25,000/- for 1st and 2nd year (+ HRA as per local approval)
Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry (for candidates with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree) OR Master’s degree in Plant Breeding/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with NET qualification (for candidates with 3 years Bachelor’s degree)
Knowledge and work experience of molecular breeding and biochemical analysis in field crops.
Senior Research Fellow 01
The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview ` 25,000/- + HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year ` 28,000/- + HRA per month for 3rd year (likely to be revised)
Master’s degree in Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Plant Pathology/ Life Science with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. OR Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications.
Experience in MAS as well as in Field work of wheat crop
3. ICAR funded project “CRP on Molecular Breeding (Wheat)”
Skilled help 01
The upper age limit is 30 years on the date of interview ` 10,000/- per month
Graduate in any discipline of Biological Sciences.
Experience in wheat crop
4. DST funded project “Characterization of Finger millet genetic resources and dissemination of improved varieties seed in Uttarakhand Hills in the Face of Climate Change”
Junior Research Fellow 01
The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women on the date of interview ` 25,000/- per month + HRA (as admissible in Almora)
Post Graduate in Plant Breeding/ Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Biotechnology/ Genetics/Bioinformatics/Basic Sciences/Life Sciences. NET is essential for non professional master’s courses.
The courses considered as professional courses are listed in the DST website (http://serb.gov.in/pdfs/Results /FAQ%20on%20Revision%20of %20Research%20Fellowship.p df) Experience in crop grains nutritional analysis, Database development.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The Interested and eligible candidate fulfilling the above qualifications are invited to appear for walk in interview alongwith the prescribed format of application on 06.02.2016 (Saturday) at 10:00 AM at ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora – 263601(Uttarakhand) alongwith the application, Bio-Data affixing a self attested recent passport size photograph and enclosing self attested copies of certificates in support of age (Class 10th Certificate), qualifications, experience.
2. No-objection certificate from the employer/University in case he/she is in employment elsewhere/ studying.
3. The candidates are necessarily required to produce all original certificates which will be returned to them.
4. The above positions are on contractual basis, purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project
5. The place of work will be at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora (Uttarakhand) or the project site.
6. The selected candidate shall not claim any regular employment at this Institute, as the position is co-terminus with the project.
7. No T.A./D.A. will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
8. The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
