Recruitment of Project Fellow in DST-SERB Sponsored Project
Applications are invited from the ambitious, potential eligible candidates for the DST-SERB sponsored FAST TRACK project under Young Scientist Scheme (YSS/2015/000487) in a purely time-bound research project undertaken in the Department of Life Sciences, Christ University, Bengaluru:

Essential and Desirable Qualifications
|
Essential: MSc (60% for GM and 55% for SC/ST category) in Biotechnology or Botany or Plant Science or Life Science.
Desirable: Able to work independently in the plant tissue culture laboratory, Knowledge of secondary metabolite extraction and analysis using HPLC.
Preference will be given to CSIR/UGC NET qualified students.
Or
Working experience of at least one year in plant tissue culture related work especially with production of secondary metabolites.

Maximum 28 years as on 28th of February 2016. Relaxation of 5 years is applicable to SC/ST/OBC, women and physically challenged candidates.

Instructions:
1. Interested candidates are requested to submit/post a detailed CV to Dr. Praveen N (PI), Department of Life Sciences, Christ University, Hosur Road, Bengaluru -560 029 on or before 28th Feb, 2016. In addition, candidates are advised to mail soft copy of their CV at praveen.n@christuniversity.in. Mark the subject as “PF-DLS- DST-SERB” on top of the envelop.
2. Only shortlisted candidates based on merit and need of the project with date, time and venue of the interview will be communicated/informed via e-mail/post and no other communications in this regard will be entertained.
3. Candidates shortlisted for interview should appear in person with originals of degree certificates, academic transcripts, proof of date of birth and caste certificate (if applicable) along with any other relevant information (like copies of publications, awards, recommendations etc) in support of their claim. Mere fulfilling the minimum qualifications will not entitle the candidate for interview/appointment. The decision of the selection committee will be final.
4. Tenure of the Project fellow will be initially for a period of one year and will be extended to 2nd and 3rd year based on satisfactory performance. The above position is purely temporary for the said project period only. The project fellow could be terminated depending upon his/her performance without giving any prior notice. The selected project fellow may be assigned to perform any other duties time to time commensurate with his/her qualifications.
5. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
