CSIR - Institute of Microbial Technology, Sector-39/A, Chandigarh intends to engage Project Assistant, Project Fellow, JRF (Project) & Research Intern on purely temporary basis on contract under DBT/CSIR sponsored project at IMTECH. Besides following positions, a General Panel of Project Assistants, Project Fellows, JRF (Project) & Research Intern will be finalized from amongst candidates for future requirements, which will be valid for one year or till finalization afresh panel. However, the number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement of the Institute.

The position is purely on temporary on Contract basis on behalf of the sponsor. However, the tenure of the Project can be extended depending upon the tenure of the Project and the performance of the candidate. It will be co-terminus with the duration of the project. Contract may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim whatsoever implicit or explicit for consideration against any CSIR post.
The schedule of Walk-in- Interviews are:-
1 Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow (Project) and Senior Project Fellow: 15.03.2016 ( Tuesday ) at 8.45 a.m
2 Junior Research Fellow (Project), Project Fellow, Project Assistant and Research Intern:16.03.2016 (Wednesday) at 8.45 a.m.
The candidates may appear for Walk-in-Interview on the above scheduled dates. It is expected that the interview may continue for 2-3 days. Hence, candidates are requested to come prepared for necessary arrangement at their own.
Reservation: (i) As regards reservation, if all things are equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates may be given preference over General candidates so as to ensure their representation. ii) Out of above positions, 02_ Nos are reserved for Persons with Disability for orthopedically handicapped/or visually handicapped/Hearing impaired and reservation thereto for General Panel will also be applicable as per rules. Candidates belongs to PWDs may appear any of the above positions, however, they are required to bring valid Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Medical Authority in prescribed Performa (minimum of 40% and above disability) .
Such candidates who fulfils the eligibility conditions may please Walk-in-Interview on above scheduled dates at 8.45 A.M.(Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data in the prescribed format [to be downloaded (Annexure-I) from IMTECH website www.imtech.res.in] duly filled and signed, enclosing attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification/ experience etc. and one passport size latest coloured photographs. Original certificates are also to be produced for verification at the time of Interview. Candidates reaching after 11.00 A.M will not be allowed to appear in the Interviews.
Note: 1. Thesis submitted and result awaited candidates are not eligible for interview.
2. No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
