Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a SERB, Govt. of India, New Delhi sponsored R&D Project under Schemes for Young Scientists at Centre for Environmental Sciences, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following research project funded by SERB, uder Schemes for Young scientists, under the supervision of Dr. Purabi Saikia (PI); Centre for Eviromental Sciences, School of Natural Resource Management, Central University of Jharkhand, Brambe, Ranchi-835205, Jharkhand.

Project title: Status, Distribution and Composition of Sal Forests of Ranchi, Jharkhand, East India in relation to Microclimatic as well as Edaphic conditions
Essential qualifications: M. Sc. in Environmental Sciences/ Botany/ Forestry with minimum of 55% aggregates marks from recognized university with NET qualified in relevant subject.
Desirable: Plant/Forest Ecology and Plant Taxonomy/ Systematics specialization; Diploma in Remote sensing and GIS application, Knowledge of GIS software.
Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA Duration: 03 Years Initial appointment for one year and extendable up to maximum of total three years based on performance and other conditions
General Terms and Conditions: The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented at the time of interview. Self attested photocopies of documents with CV and latest photo have to submit at the time of interview. No application will be considered after due date and without proper format. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
