Two day conference is being organized to deliberate on the latest developments and advances in the design and synthesis of novel molecules, mechanistic studies to discover new cancer therapeutics. The conference aims at providing a platform for detailed discussions on the current status and challenges, and future approaches by bringing together researchers and practitioners in the therapeutic area.

About the Symposium

Cancer is a major cause of death throughout the world. According to the most recent edition of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) world cancer reports, the global cancer burden doubled in the last thirty years and is estimated to double again by 2020 and nearly triple by 2030. The past century has demonstrated that cancer can be effectively treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and/or surgery. However, with the existing therapeutics, there is often a recurrence of cancer due to metastasis. The primary goal of this symposium is to bring a brain storming discussion among major contributors in the area of cancer research from India and abroad to decipher new basic knowledge into the development of innovative cancer therapeutics.
