4th National Workshop & Certificate Course on TAXONOMY, BIODIVERSITY, EX SITU CONSERVATION AND APPLICATION OF FUNGI

Venue: MACS' Agharkar Research Institute, Pune National facility proposes to conduct national level workshop and motivational certificate course for developing competence in systematics and taxonomy (conventional & molecular) of fungi and their applications among new generation of students and researchers across the country. This would help in developing expertise to utilize indigenous mycological heritage on sustained basis. In addition, awareness to conserve and document fungal genetic resources, and various rules and regulations being implemented by national agencies under the aegis of Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) would be created among selected 20 young and budding researchers from academia, research institutions and industries. Schedule, fee structure and other details are as follows:

I. National Level Workshop:

Duration: 10 days [1st -10th June, 2016]

Workshop Fee: Rs. 12,500/- + service tax @14.5% (participants from academia & research institutions) Rs. 16,500/- + service tax @14.5% (participants from Industry)

Who can apply: College/University Teachers, Post Doc Researchers, Ph. D. students

Note: Accommodation would be arranged on request, and on payment basis. Above mentioned fee structures include charges for boarding and workshop kit only.

II. National Level Certificate Course:

Duration: 30 days [1st - 30th June, 2016]

Course Fee: 25,000/- + Service Tax @14.5%

Who can apply: Graduates/Post Graduates in Science/Life Sciences Note: Accommodation would be arranged on request, and on payment basis.

Above mentioned fee structure include only course materials, and do not include boarding and lodging charges. However, lodging for selected out station candidates may be arranged on request, and on payment basis.

Important Dates:

Receipt of duly filled-in application form: 25thApril 2016

Intimation to selected candidates: 30th April 2016

Receipt of fee from selected candidates: 10th May 2016
