- A. Project: Faster Retting of jute plant through Biochemical intervention
i ) Name of the Posts – Research Associate
Number of posts - 01
Required Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Microbiology/Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Science (Any stream)
- 1-2 yrs. of experience in the field of industrial microbiology /Bio-technology
Desirable Experience:
- Ph.D in any stream of Life Science
- Experience in the related field
Consolidated pay package: Rs. 30,000/month
Contract Period : Initially one year. May be extended on the basis of performance, maximum for a period of two years
ii) Name of the Posts - Laboratory Assistant
Number of posts – 02
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc in Microbiology / Bio-technology/ Biochemistry /Life Science (Any stream)
Desirable Experience:
- 1-2 yrs. of experience in laboratory work preferably in Microbiology / Chemical laboratory
Consolidated pay package: Rs. 15,000/month
Contract Period : Initially one year. May be extended on the basis of performance, maximum for a period of two years

B) Project: Utilization of jute sticks and jute waste extraction of value added chemicals for industrial use
i ) Name of the Posts - Research Associate
Number of posts – 01
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D in Chemistry /M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/ Bio-chemistry/ B. Tech (Chemical Engineering)
Desirable Experience:
• Experience in the field of industrial research
Consolidated pay package: Rs. 30,000/month
Contract Period : Initially one year. May be extended on the basis of performance, maximum up to 18 months
C) Project: Biochemical softening of hard root cuttings of jute for better utilization
i ) Name of the Posts - Senior Research Associate
Number of posts – 01
Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D in Microbiology/ Genetics/ Bio-technology/Biochemistry/Life Science (Any stream)
• 4-5 yrs. of experience in the related field
Desirable Experience:
• Experience in field level work preferably on jute
Consolidated pay package: Rs. 35,000/month
Contract Period : One year
ii) Name of the Posts - Project Associate
Number of posts – 01
Required Qualifications:
• B. Tech (Jute) /B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Chemistry
Desirable Experience:
• 1-2 yrs. of experience in Jute Mill / in the field of industrial Microbiology
Consolidated pay package: Rs. 15,000/month
Contract Period : One year.
In the Project A. Faster Retting of jute plant through Biochemical intervention, serial number (ii) Laboratory Assistant post, the contract period is “Four months/ year (during jute retting season)”instead of “Initially one year. May be extended on the basis of performance, maximum for a period of two years”.
