Applications are invited for the purely temporary position of one (01) Junior Research Fellow in a project entitled “Comparative study on sulfate transporters of SRB and chromate resistant bacteria in both anaerobic and aerobic conditions” funded by DST SERB, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Essential qualifications: The applicant must have minimum 55% marks in M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences.

Desirable qualifications: Prior experience in relevant field or having expertise in handling bacterial culture, biochemical and molecular techniques.

Duration of project: Three Years

Fellowship: The amount of fellowship is as per the SERB norms.

NET/GATE candidate: Rs 16,000/- p.m. for initial two years and Rs 18,000/-p.m. from the third year onwards. Non-NET/ Non-GATE candidate: Rs 14,000/- p.m. for initial two years and Rs 16,000/- p.m. from the third year onwards.

The selected candidate would not be provided with HRA and any other allowances. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate will be appointed as JRF initially for one year and may be extended till the validity of project based upon satisfactory performance.
