Workshop on Science Writing
20 to 25 June 2016, Bengaluru
Current Science, an interdisciplinary journal, endeavors to make scientific advance accessible to all interested in science. To build the capacity of scientists and researchers in India to write science in a manner that is understandable even to non-specialists, a one-week Science Writing Workshop will be organized by Current Science.
The Workshop will be residential and will be held in Bengaluru from 20 to 25 June 2016 (Monday to Saturday).
It will be preceded by a one-month Virtual Workshop, followed by a two-week online mentoring. The details can be seen here.
Applications are invited from interested research fellows, faculty in Indian universities, and scientists of research institutes.
Participant profile:
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in any branch of science.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English desired.
- Knowledge in working with word processors and internet browsers.
Only fourteen persons will be selected for the Workshop in a batch.
The registration fee (for selected candidates): Rs 10,000 (to be paid on selection).
