Advertisement for the post of Research Associate (RA) under DST project

Applications are invited for the temporary position Research Associate (RA-1) for the research project entitled‘Traditional Knowledge System- Network Programme on Convergence of Traditional Knowledge systems for integration to Sustainable Development in the Himalayan Region” funded by DST (GOI), New Delhi.

Research Associate (D-RA)

Shall not be more than 40 years

Age limit is relaxable by five years for  candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically Challenged applicants.

Rs. 36,000/- + HRA as applicable.

Max 4 years / co-terminus with the project

Ph.D. in Life Science / Environmental Sc, Ethano botany / Anthropology Conservation Biology, from a recognized University.

Desirable Qualification : Knowledge and experience in TKS and working experience in survey

Nature of work: Project work will include documentation, extensive field survey in Himalayan valley, their validation and report writing during project duration.

Recruitment process

The selection of Research Associate (RA) under DST project will be through a written test (if required, as decided by the university) followed by a personal interview.

(i) Candidates should submit their application online only till 5th June 2016 by 17:00 hours. The application fee of Rs. 300/- should also be payable online with the application. The website link for the application form will be made available on Doon university website ( since Monday 16-May-2016. Candidates must mention the Project name and Position applied for in their applications.

(ii) The University shall screen the applications received by due date and organize a written test and interview for the short-listed candidates on 13th – 14th June 2016. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated by e-mail for the written test and interview.
