Applications are invited for award of eight Junior Research Fellowship/ Senior Research Fellow and one Project Associate on a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 25,000/-, 28,000/- and 12,000/- per month respectively, in the project “Programme Mode Support in Agricultural Biotechnology, Phase- II ”, under the Coordinatorship of Dr. Anil Kumar. The Programme mode Support has four sub-projects as given below:
1. “Functional Validation of MAPK-3 gene and phosphopprotemic studies for induction of defence against Alternaria blight disease in Brassica” (PI: Dr. Gohar Taj)

2. “Genetic Enhancement of aromatic rice landraces throughmolecular breeding to develop high yielding, idea plant type, blast resistance and better quality aromatic rice varieties for wider adoptability by farmers” (PI: Dr. J. Kumar)
(JRFs 02- SC, Unreserved)
3. “Molecular characterization of calcium signaling and transport machinery of finger millet (Eleusine coracana) towards development of superior genotypes an nutraceuticals for calcium biofortification” (PI: Dr. Anil Kumar)
(SRFs 03- SC, Unreserved (Female), Unreserved; Project Associate 01- Unreserved)
4. “Cloning and functional validation of drought responsive genes from Eleusine coracana” (PI: Dr. Sandeep Arora)
(JRF 01- Unreserved Female)
The fellowship is purely temporary and may continue till the duration of the project or maximum two years whichever is earlier. The appointment shall be given on six monthly review basis. In case the candidates from the respective categories are not available, the posts can be filled from other category posts, as per approval.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
For Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc. Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology / Life Sciences with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course.
For Senior Research Fellow: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience.
For Project Associate M.Sc./ M. Tech Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Biochemistry/ M.Sc. Bioinformatics with sufficient hands- on experiences of tools and techniques.
Candidates possessing the above qualifications may submit their application on plain paper in the attached format to the undersigned latest 23.05.2016 the interviews will be held on 24.05.2016 at 3.00 PM in the Committee Room of the Department of MBGE. No separate letter for interview will be issued or any TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
