A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 27th July 2016 (Wednesday) at 10.00 A.M in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University for two (02) temporary positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a “DBT-UExcel-NER” project entitled “Identification of exercise induced myokine(s) and its role on white to brown/beige adipocyte conversion and suppression of obesity induced adipose tissue inflammation and insulin resistance” under the Principal Investigator Dr. Suman Dasgupta, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University.
Interested candidates, highly motivated for a research career, are advised to send their curriculum vitae (CV) to the PI through email (suman.dsut@gmail.com or suman@tezu.ernet.in) by 15th July, 2016 and may appear before the interview board along with all original documents and photocopies of marksheets, certificates, testimonials, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, a recent CV and two copies of passport size photographs. Award of Fellowship does not confer any right for absorption/employment in Tezpur University.
Educational Qualifications : M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.
Desirable Qualifications :NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates and/or person having experience in cell culture and different techniques of cell and molecular biology will be given preference.
Age :Candidates should not be more than 28 years of age. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women/ Differently abled
Fellowship :Rs. 25,000 only + 10% HRA as admissible per month for the first two years (JRF) and Rs. 28,000 only + 10% HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd Year (SRF) will be applicable to NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates. Rs. 12,000/- only + 10% HRA as admissible per month for the first two years (JRF) and Rs. 14,000/- only + 10% HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd Year (SRF) for other candidates.
Duration : The appointment shall be initially for a period of One (01) year, which may be extended further depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent and co-terminus with the project.
