Applications are invited for a JRF position in the CSIR sponsored research project for 3 years under Dr. Nagendra Singh, Assistant Professor, School of Biotechnology.

The fellowship may lead to a PhD degree in Biotechnology at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, INDIA.

The project is about expression profiling, cloning, expression, purification and crystal structure determination of protein involved in splicing of human genes.

The candidate is expected to perform PCR and western blot experiments to check expression of the gene in various cancerous cell lines. The gene will be cloned and expressed to achieve pure protein for biophysical characterization and structure determination by X-ray crystallography.

Tenure of fellowship: Three years, salary as per CSIR rules.

Essential qualifications: Possessing MSc./BE/B.Tech. or equivalent Degree in life sciences or allied subject with at least 55% marks along with UGC-NET/GATE qualification.

Desirable qualifications: Hands on practice/training on cloning expression of eukaryotic genes/ animal tissue culture/purification & crystallization of proteins/biophysical techniques
