NIPGR Lab Technician/JRF Openings 2016 August

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of a Laboratory Technician I in the DBT research project “Elucidating immune- related pathostress-reponsive ECM reportier in legume and tuber crops by comparative proteomic analysis” of TATA Innovation Fellowship programme under the supervision of Dr. Subhra Chakraborty, Scientist, NIPGR.

Laboratory Technician I (one post): Consolidated emoluments . 20000/- per month.

Qualification: Candidates having B.Sc. degree with 02 years experience or passed Intermediate (12th standard with Science subject) with at least 10 years experience in any Government R&D Laboratories/University/Institute are eligible to apply.

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for six months, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of two Junior Research Fellows (JRF) under the supervision of Dr. Jagadis Gupta Kapuganti, Scientist, NIPGR in DBT-IYBA and SERB-ECRA research projects, detailed as under:

(1) DBT-IYBA Award-2014 project entitled “Hypoxia- induced nitric oxide as a tool in protection of plants under flooding and pathogen attack”. (01 post of JRF)

(2)        SERB-Early Career Research Award” entitled “Functional elucidation of serine hydroxyl methyl tranferase 6 and 7 during plant resistance against pathogen infection”. (01 post of JRF)

Junior Research Fellow: Emoluments as per project sanctions & DBT/DST norms.

Candidates having M.Sc. degree (with minimum of 55% marks) or equivalent in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Molecular Biology or any other related field with research experience are eligible to apply. Candidate having prior experience in the area of advanced molecular biology techniques and plant pathology will be given preference.

The positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the projects. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended based on candidate’s performance, norms of the Institute and discretion of the Competent Authority. The eligible candidates may further be short-listed based on the qualification/experience depending on the total number of applications received. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualification(s) and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
