Applications are invited upto 05.08.2016 for filling up of the following posts purely on temporary and adhoc basis for a period of one year or upto the tenure of the project to work under ICMR funded project entitled” Vector Surveillance for ZIKV/JEV in selected high risk areas of India”.
PROJECT ASSISTANT : 01 POST (UNRESERVED) AT VCRC FIELD STATION, KOTTAYAM (KERALA)
Application form Essential qualification Graduate in Life Science from a recognized University with one year D.M.L.T or Graduate in Life Science with one year experience* in Molecular biology (or) Biotechnology from a recognized institution. (*M.Sc in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology will be treated as two years experience.) Age Not exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of application.
Consolidated Salary Rs. 28,755/-p.m. (Nett.)
Job requirements To work on detection of infection status of ZIKA Virus in the vector population using molecular tools.
PROJECT TECHNICIAN-III : 01 POST (UNRESERVED) AT VCRC, PUDUCHERRY Application form Essential qualification 12th pass in Science subjects and two years diploma (DMLT) (OR) 12th pass in Science subjects with one year DMLT and one year experience in a recognized organisation as Technician-B or two years field/laboratory experience** in bio-medical techniques in Govt. recognized organization (**B.Sc degree in Biological Science shall be treated as 3 years experience.)
Age Not exceeding 30 years on the last date of receipt of application.
Consolidated Salary Rs. 17,040/-p.m. (Nett.)

1. Age relaxation is applicable only to the post under reserved category, as per Govt. of India norms. 2. Qualification and experience should be from an organization of repute. 3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee for the selection. 4. Person already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are not eligible to apply. 5. Self attested copies of certificate in proof of Date of birth, Educational Qualification (Certificate/ Statement of marks), Experience as mentioned under essential qualification must be enclosed with the application. 7. The selection to the post will be made through written test. No travelling allowance will be paid to the candidate for appearing written test. 8. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointments in any ICMR Institutes/ Centres for continuation of his/her services in any other project. 9. Incomplete applications and the applications received after the last date will be rejected. 10. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
