Banana Project Based Research Position
National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NABI has received BIRAC sponsored joint research project with Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia and applications are invited for the following position under externally funded project “Transfer and Evaluation of Indian Banana with Pro-Vitamin A (PVA) Constructs”:-
Name of the position: Project Scientist
Number of Positions: One
Area: Plant Metabolic Engineering, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics.
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. thesis submitted/awarded in any branch of life/plant sciences.
Desirable qualification:
a) Excellent academic record with research experience in area relevant to plant metabolic engineering, molecular biology and bioinformatics supported with high quality publications.
b) Knowledge and experience of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry based technological analysis of samples. c) Knowledge and experience of in-silico analysis such as trascriptomics, proteomics and genomics.
c) Relevant research publications in reputed international journals with high impact factors.
Age limit: 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
Remuneration: Consolidated @ Rs.40,000/- per month.
