There is an inevitable need to converge the research ideas of scientists working at addressing this insurmountable issue of malaria drug discovery and vaccine initiative. The individual efforts have been made to advance the understanding of malaria in the direction of developing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. However, consorted and cocktail approach with the scientific conglomeration is indeed required to gain in-depth understanding of this parasite. Therefore, Institute of Science, Nirma University intends to bring Indian malaria community onto a common platform to foresee a plausible solution to eradicate human malaria parasite.

Prof. G. Padmanaban, Former Director, IISc is mentoring this meeting, and eminent malaria biologists from the research institutes and universities all across nation including ICGEB, NII, JNCASR, TIFR, ILS, IICB, CCMB, IISER, IISc, JNU, UoH and KIIT will deliver talk and share their experiences.

The conference is supported by various funding agencies including DST-SERB, DBT, ICMR-New Delhi, and GUJCOST (DST, Govt of Gujarat), Gandhinagar.
