WALK IN INTERVIEW
A Walk in interview for one position of Research Associate/Senior Research Fellow, four positions of Young Professional-II and two positions of Young Professional-I under various projects of the Institute purely on contract basis will be held at 11.00 AM on 19-8-2016 at ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, Ramagondanahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru-560 064 and all the positions are co-terminus with the respective projects. Candidates are required to bring testimonials in original and one set of self-attested copies of testimonials & one passport size colour photo along with completed application form (which may be downloaded from the website – www.nivedi.res.in), at the time of interview.

2. Institute Project on Haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) /Anthrax
Young Professional-II (One position)
Postgraduates in Agricultural Science
OR
Graduate degree holders in Veterinary Science
Preference will be given to M.V.Sc degree holders in Microbiology/Biochemistry/
Biotechnology/ Public Health/ Epidemiology, if any.
In the event of non-availability of B.V.SC & AH and M.V.Sc candidates considering the time bound nature of the project, YP-1 with the following qualification will be considered. Graduate in Agricultural Science.
OR
MSc in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology
Laboratory experience working with Bacterial isolation, serological tests (ELISA), molecular techniques (PCR, typing, gene cloning/expression, protein purification etc) and computer application tools will be preferred
Desirable : Candidates is expected to travel and collect clinical materials/data for epidemiological analysis.
Rs.25,000/- per month consolidated for YP2

Rs.15,000/-per month consolidated for YP 1

3.Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU), ICAR Project
Research Associate (RA) One position)
OR
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (One Position)
PhD in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/Microbiology
OR
Master’s degree in (M.V.Sc/M.Sc.(Ag)/M.Tech) in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology with 2 years of research experience with NET qualification
In the event of non - availability of candidates with above qualification, considering the time bound nature of the project, candidates with M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics with / without NET to be designated as Contractual personnel (YP-2 or YP-1) will be considered.
Experience in Intellectual property rights(IPR), technologies, patent filing, data maintenance, reporting and communication skills
Desirable: A candidate with computer application tools/bioinformatics and diploma in IPR etc, will be preferred
For RA: RS.40,000/- per month + HRA
For SRF: Rs.25,000/- per month + HRA for 1 st and 2nd year Rs.28,000/-per month + HRA for 3rd year
For YP-2 Rs.25,000/-per month consolidated
For YP-1 Rs.15,000/- per month consolidated
35 years for men and 40 years for women as on the date of Advertisement
4. ICAR –Extramural project on “Understanding the epidemiology of Culicoides borne disease (CBD’s) in wild and domestic ruminants

B.V.Sc. & A.H
Candidates with M.V.Sc in Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Pathology/ Veterinary Pathology/Veterinary Parasitology /Veterinary Biochemistry/veterinary Biotechnology/Veterinary Medicine if available Will Be Given preference.
Laboratory experience working with serological tests, molecular techniques in disease diagnosis tools. Willing to travel for field work.
