TIF1γ in the regulation | RGCB SRF/JRF Vacancies

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior research fellow/ Senior research fellow in a DST funded research project entitled "Evaluation of the role of TIF1γ in the regulation of self-renewal ability of oral squamous cell carcinoma stem cells" in the Laboratory of Dr. Tessy Thomas Maliekal at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

NUMBER OF POSITIONS:

Only one. One suitable candidate will be selected from the pool of JRF/ SRF.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Junior Research Fellow:

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in any branch of Life Science with first class.

Additional Qualification (Optional): National Eligibility Test (NET) with a valid JRF/GATE qualified candidates are preferred.

Experience in mammalian cell culture/primary culture/FACS, Immunoflourescence and immunohistochemistry.

Senior Research Fellow:

Essential Qualification: Masters degree in any branch of Life Science with first class. Minimum two years of documented research experience in mammalian cell culture/primary culture/FACS, Immunoflourescence and immunohistochemistry.

AGE:

Junior Research Fellow: Below 28 years as on 20th September, 2016.

Senior Research Fellow: Below 32 years as on 20th September, 2016.

EMOLUMENTS:

Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 25,000 + 20% HRA for NET qualified candidates and Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA for others.

Senior Research Fellow: Rs. 28,000 + 20% HRA for NET qualified candidates and Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA for others.

DURATION:

Three years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed by screening the applications, a written test will be conducted before the selection interview.
