JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW / PROJECT ASSISTANT

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for two Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow positions in the SERB sponsored major research project entitled Genetic characterization and phylogeography of Indian bison”.

Position: Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant (2 Nos.)

Duration: Initially for one year and extendable up to 3 years/end of the project based on the candidates performance

Fellowship: As per funding agency norms.

Junior Research Fellow: Rs.25,000+10% HRA (Candidates with CSIR,UGC NET/GATE etc.)

Project Assistant: Rs.16,000 (Non NET/GATE)

Essential Qualification: Ist Class M.Sc degree in any subject under Life Science.

Desirable Qualification:

i. Strong physical and mental abilities and a keen desire to carryout fieldwork (Field work includes, survey, scat/ hair sample collection from wild bison for genetic studies).

ii. Preference will be given to candidates with prior field experience particularly in the North East regions.
