Candidates Qualification :

• MSc ( Biotech, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Plant science, & Botany )

Role Purpose :

To contribute in the development of an efficient Genetic transformation methodology

using marker free technology through Agro bacterium method towards the development of

GM hybrid rice with yield and drought tolerance traits.

Role Sheet (including authorization level/limit)

• To contribute effectively in the development of genetic transformation protocol using marker- free technology
• Tissue culture medium preparation
• Seed initiation for callusing
• Sub culturing the calli for embryogenic calli formation
• Preparation of Agro bacterium culture for transformation
• Assisting in the selection of transformed calli for further development

2.To contribute effectively in the data documentation and reporting

• Data’s on frequency of transformation in rice
• Image data documentation of transformation
• Documentation of analysis report of GM rice crop
• _ To Contribute effectively in the application of bioinformatics tools for Data maintenance _
• Analyzing the Rice Data by different Data mining tools. Developing biological data base for Transgenic crop development

Major Measures (Scope: Within their operational area) with Unit of measure

• Quality output in time frame
• Consistency in results &Repeatability of protocol
• data documentation and report
