Department of Biochemistry & JB Tropical Disease Research Centre, MGIMS is going to organize 22nd hands on short-term training course on “Molecular techniques as applied for infectious disease research” during February 13-18, 2017. It is open for Faculty members, post graduates and PhD students working in medical and research institutes. Candidates should possess a qualification of M.Sc. / M. Pharm. / MD/ PhD. This foundation course includes Basic & routine molecular biology techniques viz., Molecular Cloning, Expression and Purification of recombinant proteins, Real-Time PCR; Analytical techniques like 2D-Gel Electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting; Immunological techniques that includes Immunodiagnostic, immunomodulatory & cellular assays, cytokine assays; in vitro parasite culture and drug screening assays and other basic techniques will be covered. There will also be invited talks on research related to the diagnostic, vaccine & drug development studies in infectious diseases by eminent experts during the training course.
