The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the following positions purely on temporary and contractual basis under the project “National Facility for Gene Function in Health and Disease” (Proj. Code : 30815226) funded by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
 
Post -1 Technical Officer
 
No. of post One Consolidated Pay (per month) Rs. 32,000 – 36,000/- commensurate with qualifications and relevant work experience.
 
Educational Qualification and Experience Minimum 60% marks / equivalent grade in M.Sc. in Biology / Physics or Chemistry or B.Tech. in Engineering with 2 years of relevant working experience, post B.Tech/ M.Sc. in Microscopy/Imaging projects.
 
Desirable Experience 2 years prior experience in basics of Light Microscopy methods, handling fluorescence microscopy including confocal microscopy and familiarity with various imaging software
 
Job Description To provide training and assisting students and staff of the Institute in light microscopy techniques.

Post -2 Technical Assistant

Consolidated Pay (per month) Rs. 30,000 – 33,000/- commensurate with qualifications and relevant work experience.
 
Educational Qualification and Experience M Sc in Life Sciences/ M Pharm. or Equivalent. Minimum 2 year’s research experience working with Laboratory Animals in a Animal Facility after attaining educational qualification.
 
Desirable Experience Experience with any of the following: Molecular biology/cell biology techniques, microinjection, imaging, Lab. Animal handling, Working experience with Rodents and Zebra fish.
 
Job Description The incumbent assistant is expected to work in facility for management and experimentation with Lab Animals and help the team of researchers in their experimental work.

Post -3 Lab Technician

Educational Qualification and Experience B.Sc / B. Pharm or Equivalent Degree in the Life Sciences. Minimum 1 Year experience post Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology/Diagnostic Lab., Lab. Animal Handling and experimentation.
 
Desirable Experience Experience with any of the following: Molecular biology/cell biology techniques, Lab. Animal handling (Mice, Rat, Zebra Fish etc.),
 
Job Description Technician is expected to assist in experimental work and other daily routine activities of the facility.
 
Age limit Not more than 28 years as on closing date of advertisement.
 
Post -4 Multi-skilled Assistant
 
No. of post One Consolidated Pay (per month) Rs. 17,000/-
 
Educational Qualification and Experience Bachelors degree; Minimum 1 year experience in administration work, proficient in editing and database programs such as Microsoft Excel and word processing on computers and online.
 
Desirable Experience Experience with any of the following: accounting, Tally, purchase related procedures.
 
Job Description The incumbent is expected to maintain an inventory of the stateof-the-art equipments in the facility, facilitate timely consumables procurement, and help the team of researchers in their administration work.
