The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Biologist for the Consultancy Project entitled “Assessment of Biodiversity value of the Gautam Budha Wildlife Sanctuary, Bihar and Jharkhand” purely on contractual basis for a period of three months. The EQ, DQ and other details of the Project Fellow is as provided below:
1. Project Fellow - (3 Nos)
2 Duration 6 months
3 Location of Project site Gautam Budha Wildlife Sanctuary
4 Essential Qualification (EQ) Masters’ Degree in (Life Sciences/Ecology/Forestry / Environmental Sciences/Biological Sciences/Wildlife Science or any comparable discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized University
5 Desirable Qualification (DQ)
(1) Research experience in Wildlife Sciences
Experience of conducting floral and faunal survey
(2) Proficiency in using computers and good writing skill in English language.
(3) Must be able to do field work in remote and harsh field conditions.
6 Description of Work Prepare an inventory of the flora and fauna / socioeconomic status and resource dependency of local people around Gautam Budha Wildlife Sanctuary, Bihar and Jharkhand Conduct Habitat assessment Prepare land use land cover map of the Gautam Buddha Sanctuary on GIS domain.
7 Age Shall not be more than 32 Years on date of interview.
Age relaxation: The upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as per Government of India rules.
8 Emoluments Rs. 30,000 per month + allowances for House, Telephone, Transport, Medical and Accidental Insurance as per Institute’s Rules, not exceeding Rs. 5,000/- per month.

10 Terms of References The fellowship tenure will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations General Conditions 1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 17th February, 2017 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview. 2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications research experience, along with certificate of extracurricular activities, date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification. 3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 4.
