Advertisement for the position of Project Assistant in a DBT-funded research project [BT/PR 16685/NE/95/249/2015 dated 12.01.2017] at the Department of Microbiology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli-620024 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of one Project Assistant (PA) in a DBT-funded research project with following details: 

Title of the project: Sero-surveillance of Leptospira infections in animals of Northeastern region of India (funded by the DBT, Government of India, New Delhi). 

Essential qualifications: M.Sc (Microbiology / Biochemistry/ Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Zoology / Biomedical Sciences) or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10). 

For SC/ST category, the candidate must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10) in masters’ degree. 

Age limit: 28 years. 

Fellowship amount: Rs. 8,000/- p.m. 

Project Duration: Three years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance review. The PA position is purely on temporary basis and will be terminated along with the completion of the project.
