Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Title of the project: Perseverance of Macrophage Migration Inhibitory Factor (MIF) in
pulmonary leptospirosis (funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi).
Essential qualifications: M.Sc / M.Tech (Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Life
Sciences /Biomedical Sciences/Animal Sciences/Zoology) or equivalent degree with a minimum
of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10).
For SC/ST category, the candidate
must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate score (6.0 grade points on a scale of 10) in
Masters’ degree. CSIR/UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE qualified candidates will be
given preference.
Age limit: 28 years.
Fellowship amount: Rs.25,000 + HRA/p.m.
Project Duration: Three years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance
review. The JRF position is purely on temporary basis and will be terminated along with the
completion of the project.
