Bose Institute Tumorigenesis RA Walk IN

A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 05th June, 2017 at 11.30 a.m. in the Office of the Head, Division of Molecular Medicine, Centenary Campus, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700 054 for one position of Research Associate / Extended SRF in the SERB sponsored project entitled, “A novel role of ganglioside GM2 in the regulation of the Hippo signaling pathway in tumorigenesis” under the guidance of Dr. Kaushik Biswas, Division of Molecular Medicine. The project is tenable upto 20.03.2020. Details of qualification, associateship / fellowship, age etc. are as follows : 

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in any branch of life sciences with research experiences in cellular and molecular biology, familiarity with cell culture techniques, molecular cloning and animal experiments related to cancer biology as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journal. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis (proof of thesis submission required) are eligible for Extended SRF position and on obtaining the Ph.D. degree within one year, he/she will be upgraded to Research Associate. 

Desirable Qualification : Hands on expertise in genome editing (TALEN/CRISPR) tools as well as generation and characterization of stable knockout cell lines. Prior knowledge in signaling pathways leading to EMT in cancer will be preferred. Associateship / Fellowship : Rs.36,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA for RA Rs. 28,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA for Extended SRF. Age : Below 35 years for RA and below 33 years for Extended SRF (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only, as per rule) Eligible and Interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee in the Office of the Head, Division of Molecular Medicine with a typed application in a plain paper addressed to the Sr. Prof. & In-Charge, Registrar’s Office, Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700054 stating the area of research experience, copies of mark sheets and certificates, reprints of publications, proof of age and one page summary of thesis. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing at the Interview.
