Jamia Hamdard in its 25th year of establishment in the year 2015 has instituted the
following research fellowships of high value to be awarded on competitive basis.
1. Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Post-doctoral Fellowships - 08
2. Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Research Fellowships -16
Applications are invited for the above fellowships in the proforma available on the
University web site within 15 days of the advertisement.
Fellowship amount and contingency
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Post – doctoral Fellowship
Remuneration: Rs. 60,000 per month (no other allowances)
Contingency: Rs. 50,000 per year.
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Research Fellowship
Remuneration: Rs. 35,000 per month (no other allowances)
Contingency: Rs. 25,000 per year.
Tenure
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Post – doctoral Fellowship
Two years (with provision of extension of one year)
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Research Fellowship
Three years (no provision of extension)
In case any of the fellows leaves fellowship before completion of one year entire
amount of fellowship and contingency shall be required to be refunded to the
University.
Eligibility
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Post – doctoral Fellowship
Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. degree by a recognized University
in the discipline relevant to research activities of Jamia Hamdard.
Have obtained PG degree in the first division (60% marks or equivalent grade)
Have published at least three research papers with the first authorship in
SCI/SSCI –indexed journal. The papers by the candidates from discipline
other than social sciences, Islamic studies and humanities should have been
published in the journals having impact factor more than 2. The number of
publications can be relaxed in case of publication in high impact factor
journals such as Nature, Science, Cell, NEJM etc.
Candidates who have obtained Ph.D. degree from Jamia Hamdard should
have spent at least two years at other institute/university/industry after award
of degree to become eligible for the fellowship.
The upper age limit for applicants is 30 years as on July 30 of the year of
application.
Applicants who received the Ph.D. degree more than two years from the date
of application will not be considered.
Jamia Hamdard Silver Jubilee Research Fellowship
First division (60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade) at Post-graduate
level.
Registered or admitted in the Ph.D. programme of Jamia Hamdard in any of
the Schools.
Candidates with NET-JRF/LS or equivalent test qualified after PG qualification
will be given preference.
Important Note:
Jamia Hamdard has the right to receive applications by nomination
from the Vice Chancellors of other Universities, renowned scientists, Heads of the
reputed Organizations/Institutes and other stakeholders. University may fill all, less
or no seats depending on the circumstances.
