Applications are invited for the following purely project based temporary positions. 

The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 23.06.2017 at 11:00 A.M. onward at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. Desirous candidate may forward an advance copy of the application to the Administrative Officer by e-mail (os@gbpihed.nic.in) clearly mentioning the position applied for. Sl. No. –01: DST-NMSHE Task Force-3 funded project Title: Forest Resource and Plant Biodiversity 

Position Junior Research Fellow/Junior Project Fellow (03 Nos.) 

Emoluments** @ Rs. 12,000/ Month +HRA (@ Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for NET/GATE qualified) 

Age* Maximum 28 Years 

Eligibility First Class Masters degree in Botany/Forestry/ Environmental Sciences/ Biodiversity/Remote Sensing & GIS/ Physical Science (Physics, Mathematics, Atmospheric Sciences etc.) 

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Field Research, data base development, data analysis Ecological modeling and report writing/presentation 

Desirable Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains and experience of working in the region All rules of DST and/or Institute will apply.

Title: Quality plant production and promotion of cultivation of selected Himalayan medicinal plants for livelihood enhancement 

Position Junior Research Fellow (01 No.) 

Emoluments Rs. 12,000/= pm +HRA 

Age* Maximum 28 Years 

Eligibility First class M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology Job description and preference for candidate  Experience of plant propagation 

 Well versed with biotechnological (plant tissue culture) techniques 
 Preference will be given to candidate possessing NET/GATE qualification and /or having working experience in the Himalayan region
