Online applications are invited for various posts to be filled up on purely temporary or contractual basis under various projects at National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Bengaluru. Place of duty: National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Bengaluru. Place of written test and / or personal discussion: National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, Bengaluru. 

I. Setting up of exploratory study to standardize PCR tests on paraffin sections to detect Helicobacter Pylori and compare with other detection tests. (Duration: 2 years upto 28-02-2019) 

1 Project Assistant 31,000 1 (UR) 

30 Years 

Graduate in Life Science / Biostatistics from a recognized university with three years’ work experience from recognized institution or Master's Degree in the relevant subject

(i) Master’s degree in life Science (Microbiology, Biochemistry / Bioinformatics / Biostatistics or similar) from a recognized university 

(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications. 

(iii) Work experience in a health research project. 

The candidate is required to provide assistance in the implementation of the above project. 

The work involves communication with centres, monitoring, coordination, literature search, filing, preparation of reports or any other related work as per requirement.  

IV. Development of Population Based Stroke Registry in different regions of India (Duration: 3 years upto 28-02-2020) 


3 Scientist B (Statistics) 54,300 (Including HRA) 1 (UR) 

35 Years 

1st class Master’s degree in Statistics /BioStatistics/Epidemiology/Demography from a recognized university with two years’ experience in related field OR 2nd class Master’s degree (Statistics /BioStatistics/Epidemiology/Demography) with Ph. D in relevant subject from a recognized University. 

(i) Doctorate Degree in Statistics/ Bio-Statistics from a recognized University for candidates with first class relevant degree. 
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s). 
(iii) Knowledge of statistical related computer software like SPSS, EPI-INFO, EPI-STAT & application packages like MSOffice, Fox-Pro. Familiarity with other programmes like VB, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, Oracle, ASP Programming/Java Script will be an advantage. 

 To undertake data analysis using modern statistical tools, for implementation of this project or any other related work as per requirement.

V. A study on the Magnitude and Pattern of Causes of Heart Failure-a feasibility study. (Duration: 2 years upto 28-02-2019)

2. Project Assistant 31,000 1 (UR) 30 Years 

Graduate in Life Science / Mass Communication / Journalism from a recognized university with three years’ work experience from recognized institution or Master's Degree in the relevant subject 

(i) Experience of working in health / medical research, documentation and preparing reports. 
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
(iii) Basic Biostatistics knowledge. 
(iv) Superior knowledge of English language. 

The candidate will be required to develop quality publication, prepare scientific document (manuscript, posters, abstracts, policy brief, factsheets etc.) Ability to do literature search, synthesis and documentation.

VII. CaRes NER- A Multidisciplinary Research Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer in the North Eastern States in India’ (Duration: 5 years upto 28- 02-2022) 

2. Research Associate -I 46,800/- (Including HRA) 1 

40 Years (In case of woman candidate the upper age is relaxed by two years) 

Ph.D. in Life Science/ Statistics/ Epidemiology /MD /MS /MDS or Equivalent Degree, having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development exercise after M.S/ M.Pharma / ME / M. Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexes (SCI) journal Post Graduate Qualification in Epidemiology or Public Health (MAE/MPH/MSc/PhD etc) or 2 years’ experience in cancer epidemiology/translational research/public health programmes after essential qualification 

To develop programmes for research and training, plan & undertake research on different aspects of research projects on non-communicable diseases, to provide assistance in conducting research work related to the project or as assigned from time to time.
