Application for Project Assistant at Centre for Brain Research (CBR), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru
We have an opening for the post of a Project Assistant for developing computational tools to
analyze large scale genetics data. The dead line for application is 14th of August, 2017. Selected
candidates will be called for interview.
The Centre for Brain Research (CBR) is an autonomous research centre of the Indian Institute of
Science (IISc) and has a focus on clinical aspects of neurodegenerative disorders like dementia
and stroke. CBR has initiated large scale genetic epidemiological studies on neurodegenerative
disorders.
We are looking for a Project Assistant who will be involved in developing tools that
will facilitate analysis of large scale genetic and other big data sets. Candidates applying for this
position are required to have B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent degree, a strong background in
programming languages like C++, PERL, R on unix/linux platform and working knowledge
of PHP/MQSQL/HTTP coding is essential. Applicant should have demonstrated her/his
expertise in the field by developing computational tools for analysis of textual or imaging data
sets. Knowledge in statistics will be a big advantage.
Salary will be fixed based on experience.
