JNU SRF/Lab Assistant Openings to Work Ubiquitin Proteasome Pathway Genes

Applications are invited for ONE Senior Research Fellow and ONE Laboratory Assistant in an ICMR funded project entitled "Investigations on differential expression of ubiquitin proteasome pathway genes during stage conversion in Entamoeba species" in the laboratory of the undersigned. The details of the available positions are given below:

Senior Research Fellow: One post 

Salary: Rs.28,000/- per month + 30% HRA 

Essential Qualifications: Masters degree or equivalent in Life-Sciences/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry or any other related area with minimum 60% marks and a strong academic performance since high school. The candidates should have at least 2 years research experience. JRF-NET qualified candidates will be preferred.

Desirable: Experience in animal cell-culture, basic molecular and cell biology techniques. Candidates with a background in working with Entamoeba or any other parasite will be given a preference.

Laboratory Assistant: One post 

Salary: Rs.17,000/- per months fixed

Essential Qualifications: Graduate/Class XII with minimum 2 year(s) working experience respectively in a scientific/research laboratory.

Desirable: Candidates should have a working knowledge of washing and preparation of glassware for autoclaving. Candidates with experience in operating Excel and WORD programs and handling office records and purchases will be given preference.

The positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. JNU reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
