Applications are invited on prescribed format for a Junior Research Fellow
(JRF) position available in the Department of Genetic Engineering, School of
Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai - 625 021 to work on the
DBT sponsored Project “Metabolically versatile Paracoccus sp., for the
bioremediation of toxic and harmful xenobiotics from waste water – a
prospect of genomic exploitation”.
1. Title of the Project : Metabolically versatile Paracoccus sp., for the
bioremediation of toxic and harmful xenobiotics from
waste water – a prospect of genomic exploitation
2. Position : JRF (01)
3. Duration : 3 Years.
4. Fellowship : Rs.25000 + HRA for first two years and
Rs. 28000 + HRA for 3rd
year (as per DBT norms)*
(*Emoluments applicable to the only qualified candidates)
5. Qualification : M.Sc. (with at least 55% marks) in Biotechnology/
Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Life Sciences
Desirable qualifications: CSIR/UGC/DBT/GATE or Equivalent National
Eligibility Test qualification is desirable. Experience in recombinant DNA
methods, Genomics and proteomics is essential.
Last date for the receipt of applications: On or before 19
th July 2017.
